Crank case identification

Post by M browning »

Hi all
After a bit of help, or steer in the right direction
I have been trying to contact Piper without much success to obtain information on a Lycoming crankcase.

My PFA engineer is building an 0360 Lycoming that I will be installing in my RV-7.
The crank case originally came out of a 200hp Piper arrow II .
I need to know before I order my finishing kit what engine mount arrangement the Arrow had. I know that the crankcase is the dynafocal type however I need to know if it is Dynofocal 1 or dynafocal 2 ?
I am guessing that it's the more common dynafocal 1
but i need to be 100 % sure
Any ideas how I can find out
Mark

welcome to rivetbangers :)

vans quit with one of the dyna mounts . they also have a list of suitable engines and mount configuration and the aircraft they come from.
i beleive it is available for download from their site. IIRC the cases can be machined to either style. good luck YMMV.
william....don't let it beat you down, you are stronger than you think.
