Visit from ABF

Post by dons »

I had a visit from ABF yesterday.

Not that I'm ready for these, but I did figure I would need them before the middle of the summer, so why not order them before the price went up. The crates arrived with no damage to speak of at all. Seven days from Van's to my office including a day for customs.

Just doing the inventory now of the RV7a wing kit.

Hey Jim CONGRATS on getting the wings!!!

I'm glad to see that ABF can still deliver in the bitter cold! I spent the last two days in Ottawa and it was unbearable with the wind howling! Hoe your shop is warm!

When the wing kit arrived is when it finally sunk in that I was really building an airplane! It is prety fun unpacking everything and doing the inventory. Enjoy it!

Thanks everyone. And yes my shop is warm. It was 17C (63F) in the garage/shop by the time I went to bed last night and it was -23C (-9F) outside this morning on the way into work. All that insulating and work I put into the shop over the last few months has paid off. My brother was here from Ottawa last Friday to pick up his son from University, and also mentioned it was a bit cool back in Ottawa lately. I lived there for 12 years, so I know first hand as well. With a latitude of about 43.5 degrees, I am actually a bit south of several people on this list.

No problem, them computer gremlins gotcha. Hit one wrong shortcut key when you aren't looking and stuff from the clipboard can get dropped in, I do it to myself far too often. Maybe it was part of another post you did/were trying to do since the last reboot of the computer. These new fangled things with keyboards and screens just give us more ways to make mistakes, only faster. :)
