demo rides at osh
I am wondering if vans gives demo rides at osh? I am thinking 7/7a or 9/9a and would really like to experience it before committing to a decision. osh would be closer for me versus vans for a demo ride

They have in the past. I got a ride in a one a few years ago at the time they were using their 6A . You need to register early to get a slot if I remember correctly. They will only give one ride per person...i.e. not a ride in each model. Preferences go to those who never had a demo ride. I recall it was a pretty short ride, and I did not get any stick time. Good luck.

That's pretty much true for ALL of the Oshkosh experience!Spike wrote:leave your wallet at home too.
I'm gonna have to try leaving mine home one of these years. Either that or stop going through the vender hangars with Eric so he doesn't tell me to buy stuff...

If you really want to get a feel for how an Rv flies, either take the plunge and go for a factory ride, or tie up with a local RV owner and ask for a demo. The rides given at OSH are very abbreviated, but yeah, pretty cool to do none the less.

Thanks for all the input guys. And Jeff, that is the conclusion I am coming to. I will try to find someone local or take the trip to vans. I just can't see making a decision without a ride. Not that you could go wrong with either a 7/7a or 9/9a I was really leaning towards the 9 but I am just not convinced yet. Finding someone local will save some serious cash!
