Rowd, I know this may sound crazy, but take off all the housing and safety guards on the side you mount the wheel. I have found the outside part of the scothbrite works great on finishing longer parts.
Oh yeah, do that at your own risk. Make sure you wear gloves and safety goggles when using it like this. Also, those disposable masks are nice to have when grinding. Sorry to sound gross here, but if you don't wear one, you will be blowing black crud out of your nose.
I would just stick with the one CJ listed above from Cleaveland. I have talked to a couple builders who managed to make it through the complete build with just one scotchbrite wheel. I am done with my empennage and the didn't notice that much wear on it.
Anyone had any experience with a product made by Merit abrasives ?
