Introduction

Post by plbarrett2004 »

Hi all.

Newbie to Rivetbangers here, introducing myself. Peter Barrett, from Littlestown PA. I recently purchased a second hand RV-8 empennage and have begun work. Day one and I already discovered a mistake that requires a new part order!

Anyways, I've been reading the various forums and sites for about a year now. In the copious amount of lurking and reading I've done, I have to agree with the general sentiment that this site seems to be the most friendly and welcoming site among the RV build forums.

I look forward to participating, and give kudos to those who have put together such a great site.

Cheers,
Peter

Uh oh!

He is working under the tootilidge of Mike B!

This could be trouble!

Enjoy the build, Peter. The most difficult thing is the "next" thing. You will see what I mean when you start building.

Welcome to the group!

Ha! Mike's been great. Gave me my first RV flight. :)

Per request, here is a pic of the project. (I haven't done much yet, but the previous owner got a start on the Horiz stab.)

Welcome Peter! Unless you are a descendant of Oscar Barrett of Dartmouth or Green Lake Wisconsin and later North Dakota we aren't related.RV-8's are great airplanes almost as good as a RV-6A, which I built and had to sell this fall. You can see pictures on my Galler N 784TB
