seatback bar storage tray... 325 grams (I originally guessed 275 grams, but I forgot to count the splice piece). prototype #2 looks good and passed the flex test before bonding. a very nice stress free fit. let it cure for 24 hrs. it has a nice soft edge. the break edge in the bottom solved the oil canning issue.
I filled prototype #1 with misc. "stuff": handheld radio with antenna attached, coax for the radio, pulse meter, all in one tool, fog wipes, head lamp, ear plugs, batteries, etc. I was able to sort thru it from cockpit and retrieve it if needed. note, I have only needed my hand held one time and I was on the ground. I will see what happens when I hit some bumps. will stuff go flying out of the tray? I filled the baggage area for Oshkosh and noted that the tray and the rotating nose wheel chock holders do not interfere with my baggage so far. I still need to add a clothing bag. the cockpit area is clean and there is nothing between the seats or against the sidewalls. so far, I like it.
