CJ,
I don't think it would be very difficult to move the left rib either left or right. Dan Checkoway cut and moved the left side about 2" for the same reason. I originally ordered my kit without the panel, but last night I ordered one from Vans. I figure that this would allow me to build up the front and see what I could and couldn't do. I do like the Affordable modular panel, but I'm not sure if the sub-panel could be modified cost effectively by them to connect to a moved rib. I also ordered my finish kit from Vans this morning. I told them I'm going to put an Superior IO-360 Horizontal induction. Now I need to really figure what I'm gonna put in it and what needs to be changed from the finish kit.
Thoughts on the panel ...

My finish kit is scheduled to arrive early to mid January. I deleted tires, tubes and spinner kit.
They say the supplied tubes are cheesey and an upgrade to Michelen Air-Stops are advisable. I also thought that having fresh rubber is a good thing, as I won't be on wheels for at least another year.
I deleted the spinner because I want a polished spinner and prop. The cost is literally tenfold, but it looks nice!
