To the outboard end? I don't feel it is important at all.

I returned it to the center as you can see, but that was probably unneccessary.

I expect that the worst thing about that fuel is that it is aerated. That MIGHT have an effect on the overall capacitance of the fuel, effecting the amount shown on the gauge... but I doubt it.

I just felt better about doing it that way. Sending it all the way outboard would be fine of that made YOU feel better too! Some people I have seen and talked to just dumped it back in at the root rib! Fine, I am sure.
