Since Lockheed took over the Flight Service Stations, have any of you noticed a degradation in performance?

With the Green Bay station shutting down, I am sure that the level of service will suffer.

Oh man! Don't get me started on this...
I'll tell one quick story, and I'll shut up about it.
I was in Troy, MI. Called FSS on the cell phone with engines running. I got NASHVILLE. They told me they needed to give me another phone number. Wait, make that three phone numbers (in case the first TWO didn't work!). I called the first one. No answer. Second one worked, and it was Green Bay. They told me they could not let us depart due to two IFR inbounds to this TINY little airport. The first one was FIFTEEN minutes out, the second TWENTY FIVE minutes out. It was a nice VFR day too!! Needless to say, we told 'em what we thought of the system, and that a manager would be contacted at base. We departed VFR, got the clearance in the air (IMMEDIATELY, mind you), and proceeded home.
IT SUCKS!
