Fuse on gear!
Fuse on gear!
A small big step happened tonight! I was concerned popping it on its gear so soon because I thought it would be too tall to work on comfortably. However, with the tail down it's easy to get access to much of the cabin. Next week engine goes on!

Come on down. There is only one beer I serve in my house:

$10/case (24 cans), full of flavor and no hangover.
If you want to bring anything else, I can't stop you from drinking alone on the curb

What the hell is with the dude with one eye?
I'd love to try it! When it comes to beer, I'll try anything...only a few pass muster however.
Let me just put this out there since we can't seem to put this subject to bed (and no, I don't expect that we will, nor do I care one way or another...aren't you all glad I'm SUCH a good sport!!?)...while I DO enjoy a Leini Berry, or a Woodchuck, or whatever, NOTHING beats an ICE COLD Coors Light!

More Holes in the Firewall?
Congratulations Mike! Before you hang the engine are there are there any more holes that you can possibly make if the firewall before you hang the engine? ? They get real hard to make when the engine is in the way! I only had to add one but a couple of others would have been nice.
From the picture I couldn't tell if you had a heat box installed or holes for wires, throttle, mixture, carb heat cable, emergency air to filtered airbox, etc. I had a hole on each side of the recess in the fire wall for electrical wires for Grand Rapids Engine Monitor, Mag leads, starter relay lead, master relay lead, or keep alive power for internal batteries such as a Dynon etc. Just a thought keep up the good work.

Thanks for the good advice. I do pretty much have every hole punched out now that I want. The only ones I don't have are the wiring passthroughs (they will go above the engine mount on the firewall and shouldn't be an issue to install later) and the engine control cables (I am using a non-standard vertical induction IO-360 engine) I can punch out from the inside of the fuselage.

danger!
Watch it Spike. Mike may be using the 6 pack to weight the spar down in the stand until he bolts it down.
Notice it appears unopened.
Proceed with caution. Perhaps bring a taster. Chad seems willing.
Mike, congrats on the progress. It's looking good!
