Big Day--I powered up the panel!!

Post by lancef53 »

Got my panel going today, and no smoke escaped :)

I tried to get some pictures in the gallery, but I couldn't get them to take. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Hopefully we will make some noise with it in a few weeks!!

I will keep trying on the pics.

Congrats! Next to getting the noise maker up front going, lighting things up on the panel has got to be one of the best signs of life.

Congratulations Lance! I hope that when the weather warms up I can arrange to fly up your way. I have a number of places up your way that I would like to visit. Do you have your runway plowed in the winter? How long is it?

We don't plow our runway in the winter, but we do groom it. We have our Champ on straight skis and our C-180 on on Fli-lites in the winter, so we try to keep it smooth for them.

That would be fun to get together, I would love to see your 6.

With a whole bunch of luck and lots of fiberglass work, I could have mine flying this summer :o

edit--the East-West runway is about 2500', and the N-S is about 1200'
