Back in the game

Post by JohnR »

Well with all of this talk about quitting by everyone I thought I should post that I am finally getting back to building. After almost 6 months of not being able to work on the plane I finally got about 5 hours in on it this weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to get some serious hours in on it in the next few months.

It took a couple of hours to get things in order and figure out exactly where I had left off but once I did I was able to make some progress.

I riveted the aft canopy decks on and then got the aft skin and forward aft skin match drilled.

It feels good to be back on the project and making some progress. :)

John, it's like riding a bike!

I am soooo glad you have taken this time off. It has allowed me time to pass you and I have!

Get Lukie back into the swing of things and you will pass me in short order!

Get to WORK!

I'm right there with ya Spike!

I did most of the prep work for my fuel tank in SEPTEMBER. Then I went and had my bike wreck, and the tank didn't actually get sealed til last month. I finally got all the leaks chased out about two weeks ago.

Now it's nearly time to seal the right fuel tank already!

Spike, I'm sorry but I have to ask. You said
I can finally claim a leak free fuel tank.
This could be good or bad :?

GOOD: You built a tank and it does not leak

or

BAD: You built two tanks and one does not leak

I hope it is the GOOD situation.

It is the good situation. Due to workshop size constraints I am doing one wing at a time
