Luke and I will be in Scholler also. We have been the past two times we were there. No problem leaving in the car and coming back later. Just have your camping permit in the window if I remember correctly.

Glad the wiring project worked out well!

If you can't make the Tuesday night dinner, or the Van's dinner on Thursday (or even if you can), stop by the RV BBQ in Camp Scholler. Nothing fancy.

Count me in for Tuesday night. Without CJ for competition, I may not go for the big one this year, but you never know.

All, I am wicked bummed that I can't go after talking to Antony Parchment and locating cheap transport with him.

I have to take a week long OSHA Train the Trainer course so that I can administer the 10 hour safety cards to my students and businesses in the area.

It initially WASN'T scheduled for OSH week, but they made a change and VIOLA... I am screwed once again!

Paul, go for it! After all, my motto is, "If you can eat it, you need it"!

Think of me while you are out there!

I can't pass up an oportunity to eat at the PQ. I only live 2 miles from there! If anyone needs a ride let me know and I can drive to OSH and pick you up.

Has anybody set a time for the dinner Tuesday? I need to pick someone up at the Appleton airport at 6pm so I'm hoping we can do dinner at about 7pm this year. Also, is someone making reservations? We probably should with the number of people we have.

Count me in for 2 if the timing allows me to gewt there after I go to the airport.

Bad News ...

Post by Spike »

Patti called up the Prime Quarter. Guess what? Their CLOSED. It seems that Appleton passed a no smoking ordinance or something and the PQ lost 50% of its business.

We have a few options. Once is the Prime Quarter in Green Bay which is a ~40 minute drive from Osh.

Another would be to do a mainstream place like Outback closer than Green Bay.

We could also pack it in, or, do a cookout at the RB house assuming it works for all involved parties.

Thoughts?

Currently the list is as follows:

Chad
Chad's Dad
Peter
Dave
Rob
RV7Factory
Paul
Will
John R
Luke
Spike
Patti.

Well that sucks! Oh well, I'm up for anything! Outback does have some of the best Prime Rib I've had (and I've had a lot of it-it's the first pick for me wherever I go, so I have some good experience with prime rib...).

Doesn't matter to me... :)

THE BEST Prime Rib in the area is at the Black Otter. It is located in Hortonville (10 miles from Appleton). They even have the deal where if you eat the biggest one you get it free (and get your picture on the wall).

I can't beleive they closed the PQ in Appleton, but it did happen. I just called them. I was just there about a month or so ago! Yes, Appleton did pass a smoking ban, but the PQ is not within Appleton city limits and was therfore unefected by this.

If anyone is interested in the Black Otter we would need to make a reservation because it is not a huge place.

I don't think they open till 4pm. This place is awsome though

We go there every month or so. It was established in 1900. HUGE portions, salad bar, but fairly small dining room.

Here's their website: http://www.blackottersupperclub.com/

Between the site and your recommendation, I'm cool with the Black Otter. They are closed on Mondays, but I'll go ahead and attempt (the site says no reservations, but I'm hoping they'll make an exception for a party of 15 :lmao: ), to make a reservation tomorrow pending the approval of everyone else.

" Look what's new...the "EXTREME CUT PRIME RIB" 160 oz. Finish the EXTREME and receive a $20 gift certificate, a place on our wall, & extremely the best t-shirt. "

Chad, Ever see "The Great Outdoors"? This place reminds me of that. It is NOT any kinda fancy place. We have a lot of these type of places in WI where it is a Bar/Dining place. It is the best prime rib I have ever had. The Queen Cut is the smallest you can get and I can almost eat half of it.
