Internet at OSH

Post by tshort »

Anyone know about wireless access at OSH?
I'm gonna take the laptop to dump pics on the HD but was wondering if I can get on the internet somehow / somewhere?

Bob Collins just posted else where that he had access at Starbucks. Not sure where that is though. Doesn;t sound like any wireless else where. Sure would be nice if SCholler was wireless but not this year.

Starbucks?
At OSH?

I don't think I wanna lug the laptop around with me all day - it will take up valuable space for tools and other purchases! :) :)

...as much as I like having web access (and I DO!), I choose to to go cold turkey for the week of OSH.

This year, I will hold down the fort here for everyone. Call me for updates or if you wanna post something. I will be here.

...or just call me while you are out to dinner and rub it in!

Me too. :(

Now I know how my dog feels when we have to leave her at home.

I'm not going either. Probably won't go again until my -8 is done.

Bill, no...

You must go prior.

I am planning every other year until it is done. All the odd years, essentially.

Mebbe you could do the same?

We have arrived and the digs are quite nice. Sitting on the back porch, listening to the waves. This is going to be a sweet week.

I was talking to the wife last night because we both have vacation planned for this week. We are plannning on taking our kids camping, but it is supposed to rain. My wife say let's drive to Oshkosh. Boy is that tempting. If it wasn't for the 16 hour drive I would be all over it.

I've just read on the OTHER forums that the Cirrus Tent has WiFi access. Give that a try.

WiFi at OSH

Post by RVNewsletter »

Too late now, I suppose but keep this in mind for next year. I found free wiFi at the Oshkosh Coin-Op Maytag Laundry. That's the folks who operate the pick-up service in Camp Scholler. It's really a nice place too so you may even consider doing your laundry. I forget the name of the street but if you travel north on S. Koeller (the frontage road to 41), you take a right at the street -- shoot, it begins with a W -- that is the one that doesn't have a ramp onto 41...the one that WalMar is on on the other side of the street.

The Cirrus tent, by the way, was encrypted and needed a key.
