Today is a good day

Post by papakeith »

Today is the day of my 10th wedding anniversary. Today is a day to take stock of where we've been, and to look forward to where we are heading together.

Today, apparently, is also a day for getting a delivery from Wicks.

There I was sitting at my desk at work when my cell phone rang
"hello?"
"Mr. Salisbury"
"Yes"
"Hi, this is Ron, I'm trying to deliver a package to you and I'm having a little trouble finding the house"

This is not uncommon. For some reason many drivers have trouble finding it the first time. I quickly gave him directions, and said, "I can be there in 15 minutes."
"OK, I'll wait."

He was backed up into my driveway when I arrived. With a little work we got it off the truck.

I now have all of the aluminum to make my wing spars, and finish the ribs. Plus I got enough steel to make all of the hinges and supports.

Yes, today is a good day

Congrats on several fronts! You really are 'building' a plane from pieces. I'm not going to apologize for all the pre-punched holes in mine though, I figure it is still going to take me five years. Keep us up to date on the work, I find it really interesting to hear how you are progressing.

PK that is a good day! Tell your wife happy aniversary from all of us at Rivetbangers! KArla and I celebrated 31 years last March. It just gets better each year. (did you read that dear?) :)

I am also enjoying watching your scratch build. Pretty amazing!
