Hello all!
John Courte here,
Building an RV-7 in Los Angeles. Still on the empennage after a little over a year, but trying to keep at it as much as possible. I prime with a rattle can of SEM, I'm all over the map about engine choices, but it's definitely going to be a taildragger. Of course I reserve the right to change my mind.
My camera's currently broken, but the blog of the build is here:

Still fighting the counterweight-rib/elevator spar fight.

How's that for an RB welcome!
Be careful about that indecisiveness, John.
We don't take to that kind too nicely around these parts!!!

Welcome John! Hope you don't get scared off by all of these replies!
Most of us here are pretty harmless, just don't let Chad sway your opinion on anything. Tomorrow he may have a different idea.
Just kidding Chad! Which engine are you currently planning on anyway? I don't remember.

It's all good
Nah, not scared. I'm even beginning to think this is all pretty normal. Hopefully soon (once I get a new camera battery) I can post pics of my progress, or lack thereof. It's just not that interesting at the moment.
Thanks for the warm welcome!

Welcome John! I'm a fellow Calironian and repeat offender in the building community. Currently fly an RV-4 and am building an RV-7 TAILDRAGGER! I haven't done much but to cleco the HS together. Looking foward to you helping all the other guys point out all the mistakes and gotcha's so I can build a clean straight bird this time!

Welcome John. As you can see from all the above, it would be hard to find a better bunch to hang out with while building. I'm very new, just starting my emp and going slow. Post pictures when you can and proceed at whatever pace you can, keeping in touch here will help add motivation, it does for me.
