NICE!

One helluva story! I remeber reading those Popular Mechanics magazine articles too! I was 12 years old and would read back issues from 1966 (in 1979) or so because my junior high school librarian was this cool old guy and refused to throw those great old magazines away!

I am sure old Byron would approve of my current project! He must be dead now. He was a cool old guy.

John, nice read! Thanks for the memories too!

I bet putting it down in words just re-enforces the pride and accomplishment in what you are doing, and it should, great article.

Thanks everyone. David Koelzer does our newsletter and sent out an email asking for contributions of articles. I decided a one year report would be a good way to help me get my thoughts down and also help Dave fill some space in the newsletter.

I had to get a plug in for RiverBangers.com as it is my favorite spot on the Internet. You have all been a lot of help and very supportive. Thanks a lot!
