The golden years of the Jet Age

Post by svanarts »

I scanned some old photos for a friend of mine who was an engineer for North American for many years. I just posted some of them to Picassa. There are some rare photos there of Edwards Air Force Base and a couple of the projects going on there. Take a gander if you're interested in those things. Most of these photos are from my friend's private collection and were never released to the public. There aren't that many of them but there are some beautiful planes there. Enjoy!

Thanks Scott. There will be some real memories behind those pictures for your friend Art. I really like the one of the 'malfunctioning' B-70 landing gear, there must quite a story behind that.

I had some of the B1 Bomber as well and am still looking for those. Art was the program manager of that project and can tell you about it inside and out.
