Big STINKIE! (OT, in case you couldn't tell)

Post by captain_john »

Hey All,

My buddy just uploaded this picture of the fish I caught off his boat this past summer to his website and I thought I would share it with everyone.

Image

I didn't weigh it but it was a bit over 42' long and tasted REALLY good!

I like striped bass. It tastes like a fish version of lobster meat. Not bad, really!

Mmmmmmm, striper!

Nice fish CJ! How do you have time to fish while building an airplane?

Thanks guys!

John, it gives me time to reflect on my next airplane part purchase.

Lately, I have been noodling over engines and props. I already have the general scheme, but I am figuring out the details in my mind.

Honestly, I don't know how the QB's do it. There isn't enough "hands on" time in those kits before it is time to make MAJOR decisions!

I think that if I had a QB, I would be making hasty and not completely thought out decisions. The QB guys must be smarter than me and have more experience is all I can imagine!

When you guys come out here in the summer, we will have to go fishing!

DEAL!! I'm definately in on that!! The last time I was fishing off the coast, south of the Keys, our time was cut WAY short when a friend of mine got sea sick. We were about 8 miles of the coast fishing for Mahi Mahi, and I did catch a nice one before we had to go in, but we had another four hours booked, and had to head in. It did taste DELISCIOUS that evening though! I was kinda pissed about that, and haven't been able to get back out there since!

Wow 42' long, the picture doesn't do it justice. I know you meant 42", but it is a fish story  . I've never caught anything near that big, but I do know eating what you catch the same day is way different than buying one in the local grocery store.
