Thanks guys. It turned out better than I imagined. Its weird tho...Its almost like its not even my airplane. I'm too used to it being bare necked.

Hello,
this looks almost like the colors and theme I'm planning for my RV-7A.
I'd like to have a deeper green and maybe some more curvature on the golden part.
Looks very good, I'll keep in in my "Designs I like" folder.

Pascal:
Glad you like the scheme. The green is a bit deceptive here, as the sun was really lighting it up, since it is a metallic. I too was thinking of going darker, but then I thought that too dark of a green would look almost black in certain light conditions.
Good luck deciding on your scheme. For me, it was the most difficult decision for the whole project.

Ditto. that's very much like the paint job I've been envisioning on the oft chance I ever finish my project. Nice to see it in living color. Printed and now on the workshop wall. thanks, jeff!

Yeah Will, I think a trip to ATW is in store real soon.
Thanks for all the kind comments guys. To tell you the truth, when I step back and take it all in, it can get a bit overwhelming at times...

Looks nice too bad I cant paint like that. My painting talent is limited to using a spray bomb can of dark green primer on the repairs I make, or sem-pen paint pens for touching up newly installed rivets screws chipped paint etc. Then again, the Navy has this saying... 'we dont paint aircraft for appearance, we paint them for corrosion prevention and control'.
Since nobody asked, what type and brand of paint did you use?
