The homebuilders dinner is put on by one of the groups at OSH each year. It is open to anyone, you can buy a ticket at the homebuilders headquarters. It is a much more social group than Van's. They have a speaker of some sort. 2 years ago it was the guy who flew his RV-8 around the world. It was very entertaining. I went to Van's dinner last year since I had never been to one and wished I had gone to the homebuilders dinner instead. The meal is mediocre but there is unlimited beer and soda, unlike Van's who charges for each drink. A lot of the RV builders who have been around awhile go to the homebuilders dinner instead of Van's.

Count me in for the Otter! I believe Luke will be along also so put us down for two. I plan on attending the BBQ on Wed also. If I'm still around on Thursday night (I haven't decided that yet) I'll probably go to the homebuilders dinner. We went to the Van's dinner last year and I believe we will try another option this year. The highlight of the Van's dinner was we got to sit with Spike and Patti. I believe Luke gave up a t-shirt to Paul also.

Wow, Ill take that as a compliment. Thanx!! Though that must really say something about the banquet. Ive been to a few of the Van's banquets and think Ill pass on most in the future. Especially in light of the verbal flogging that Van gave us last year. The homebuilder's dinner sounds like something to do if we make it.

Brad, the King is a mighty tall order. You sure you wanna try it? :o

I'm sure we can hook up rides for anyone who needs em. My beater car is also available to borrow if anyone needs it during the week. Let me know.

I will create a poll to get the number of attendees later (probably late June?)

Go watch "O Brother Where Art Thou" to get the gopher references and to understand Womack's avatar. Excellent movie. It might even wipe clean all your sins and transgressions ;-)

It comes from the movie "Oh Brother Were Art Thou" which Will got his Avatar from. The character, Delmer, he has on his avatar held out a piece of gopher on a stick and asked:

"Care for some gopher?"

One of the best lines in the movie. I like the movie. :)
