Gastons would be a good choice. I've never stayed there but the wife and I did look at some property in that area on our way back from Texas recently. It is a beautiful area of the country.

I agree - Gaston's is a nice grass strip in north Arkansas by Bull Shoals lake. I don't know the timing of fishing runs, but it would still be relatively warm deep into October. They have lodging, but don't know about camping sites. They have a "river villa" that has ten bedrooms that sleep two for $1090, so 20 folks splitting that would cost a little more $50 for the night for each!! Went there once in a St. Louis friend's beautiful Commander that was once featured in one of the flying magazines.
