One of those perfect evening flights

Post by painless »

Just thought I would provide some inspiration for those of you working on your projects. Evening flights such as the one I had today are what we build these airplanes for.

Image

This was taken just after I landed after one of those flights that you think of while building. Smooth air (finally after what seemed like gale force winds around here for days), unlimited visibility, and the airport all to myself.

Keep pounding those rivets guys, and you too will have one of these perfect flying evenings in an airplane of your own creation.

Best Regards,

You have a really nice looking RV. Is it as clean up close?

Last night was smooth and cool out west too.

Jeff, your plane sure looks GREAT!

How many hours do you have on it now?

57 as of today CJ. No major problems so far. Finally got my carpet in along with insulation. Makes a big difference quieting things down inside.

How goes the -7?

Which carpet kit did ya get?

My project is coming along well. I have fallen behind a bit messing with my forward fuse framing.

This past weekend was absorbed with PM on the boat, flying on Sunday and helping Thermos do his baffle today (Monday). I DID get the shop cleaned and will be doing baggage compartment stuff this week.

Slow and steady!

Slow and steady gets the job don CJ :)

My carpet is from Abby at Flightline Interiors. I still have to figure out how I am going to attach it to the foam insulation underneath. Probably some well positioned strips of velcro. I want it to be easily removed so I can check for fuel/brake fluid leaks at annuals.
