Quiet weekend ...

Post by Spike »

Another quiet weekend on the board. I can hear all of those rivets being driven! What did you accomplish this weekend? Status reports please, time to turn in the homework assignments ;)

I was able to finish up the countersinking on 2 of my HS spars. Ive been taking my time to make sure I dont mess up another one. Results are looking great :yay:

I spent the weekend trying to do my annual condition inspection in a soaking wet hangar while being pummeled by storm after storm here on the west coast. Still trying to decide where to put my oil cooler. Repairing some minor imperfections with how my right wingtip is mounted. Wishing I had a heater in the hangar.

I finished priming my horizontal stabilizer parts and started riveting the rear spar. Now I am waiting for Aircraft Spruce to deliver some 4-7 rivets, as I found the 4-6's called for on the drawings to be just a little short for my liking, and I am out of 4-7's.

Tinkered with parts and wing spars. No real "work" done here. Just some noodling. Had to work on Saturday anyways.

Kinda uneventful, really.

I didn't do anything on my 8. The Doc won't let me lift anything for another month or so. But I did break the rules last weekend and attached part of my top cowl mounting hinge.
Back to it soon!!
