Can some one say...INVENTORY TIME?

Congrats on getting started with your project. Remember that over the next few years you will go through every emotion known to man, but always keep with it! The highs are WAY better than the lows. My best piece of advice (if you haven't done it already) is find people in the area with RV's and BUM RIDES AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE! You need to keep that goal of the end result right in front of you!

Ah the begining of a wonderful journey. It will have it's trials and triumphs to be sure. Keep at it, and the end result/reward will be unlike any other.

I remember being at that stage back in January of 2003

Thanks everyone! Mike (whose tools I bought) will be coming over tonight or tomorrow night to help me get started. I inventoried the small box last night, so the remaining inventory should take maybe 15 minutes tonight. I'm EXCITED!! Too bad I have to work

Congrats Kelly! The project now begins. Take one step and drawing at a time to keep from getting initially overwhelmed, but read ahead when you aren't allowed in the shop, it helps.

I remember those first boxes, just about 1.5 years ago.... It's kind of like your 1st solo, you won't ever forget! As you go the boxes get bigger but they are just as fun to open.... My next big box comes in about 2 months! :)

Cover Your Drawings

Post by Bob Barrett »

Lance get a nice big sheet of clear heavy plastic about like you use to cover the insulation on the wall of a house under construction. Also have some type of a cover paper or clean cardboard the sign of a drawing and cover it first with the opaque material and then the plastic when now working on the project. The plans can fade when exposed to sun or bright lights. Some people have been able to laminate them with plastic but that could be pricy.

Good luck Lance and when my RV-6A is flying I will make a run up your way.

Bob

OMG, Kelly!

What is up with that SCARY PANEL in the background!?! Just in time for HALLOWEEN!

Are those additional circuit conductors bent upwards or antennas?

It's all above board, but we take the cover off if we want to hook up the welder "below board"

That's okay, now what can you do about the 12/2 Romex reflecting in the car windshield in this picture?

Image

It needs to be supported withing 12" from a connector unless it is a lighting whip within a suspended ceiling!
