I ran across a whole... gopher village

Post by Womack2005 »

So........

I had to take the summer off from building as I am battling a serious addiction. Its called GOLF. My 11 year old son persuaded me to learn to play this spring and I have become completely hooked. Its gotten to the point that my wife is threatening to burn my clubs  I played 18 this last Sunday morning. It was a balmy 33 degrees but sunny. Yeah, I got it pretty bad.

So while you guys have been stocking your shops with cool new tools and airplane parts, I've been blowing cash on golf stuff

I also just finished up a table refinishing project, so now I'm thinking its time to get back to the business of building this airplane 8)

Since I haven't been actually building for a while, I have been just lurking here from time to time. But I have missed cutting it up with you guys.

This really is one of the coolest places on the web. :good job:

Golf!? Wait a minute...GOLF!? :P Just razzin' ya Will! I LOVE the game too...but ALL summer???? Sounds like you got to spend some good quality time with your son, and THAT is very important!

Now, get him in that shop to help you finish up those wings! 8)

Glad to see you!

Golf... :luv:

I'm horrible at it but I love playing. I'm with you Delmar.

One of the many reasons I'm building a plane with more cargo capacity. Can't get my clubs into the back of the RV-4.

A friend of mine here in town with a 7A under construction has done just that for this exact reason. I'm going over there this weekend to take a look at his seats from Abby, and I'll take some pics of how he did it (and the cool hinged baggage bulkhead door).

you'd best get crackin, will! It'd be awful sad if I passed you in progress.... especially since I didn't get any work done this fall, what with being in the hospital and all!

Ian!!!! I'm just now reading about your bike wreck. Damn dude

How are you feeling now? Getting much done on the RV? I've had my share of road rash and even fractured an arm on a bike once, but it looks like you got torn up pretty good. Hope you are doing better man.

I'm doing alright now. I actually didn't get torn up too bad by the road; I was wearing my gear like a good boy. I smacked a guard rail post pretty hard, and fractured my shoulderblade into five pieces and broke two ribs.

I got over that pretty well, but the hospital tried to kill me over and over and over. I got gangrene real bad in the tissue that died when I smacked the pole, and had to have a bunch of surgeries. While I was all opened up, I got MRSA and E. Coli from the dang hospital.

I'm stitched up now, have use of my arm with relatively little pain. I'm a stubborn cuss ;)

Yeah, hospitals are the worst place to be if you don't wanna get sick. Giant Petri dishes. Glad to hear you are doing better.
