John,
I just made one last week and I have been using it for dimpling the last stiffener holes next to the trailing edge. Works ......OK, but not as good as the C-frame dimpler. I use the shaft out of the dimpler to tap with the hammer. It seems easy to get smiles from not keeping the shaft perpendicular. Also, for some reason, my driven dimples are not as crisp as the C-frame dimples. There seems to be more of a shallow valley surrounding the dimple.
I just used one countersunk screw into the bench holding the 4 X 2 bar which I overhang the bench by an inch.
I use the other side of the bar to set rivets in the trailing edges of ribs shooting the gun down onto the bar which rests on the shophead, the other end on the back-rivet plate.
Cheers, Pete

You wanna draw, ....against the fastest rivet gun in the West??? LOL
I have'nt seen this pop-rivet dimpler. What is it and where do I get it? I haven't seen it in any of the aircraft tool supply catalogs. I'd like to try it.
