Its working, you just didnt use the right URL for the picture. You used the URL for that page in the gallery that displays the photo, not the URL for the photo itself. Next time (if your using Mozilla) right click on the image and select Copy Image location. Otherwise if your using IE you can right click on the picture and select properties to get to the URL.

Hopt that Helps.

PS, Great work on the HS.

Thanks Spike - that makes sense.
This whole project has been great so far. Everyone (non RV-builders) thinks I'm going really fast, but they don't realize the amount of work (drilling, deburring, dimpling, priming) that has to be done before it is finished - even though it looks like an airplane part right now!

Back to work!

Bill-
Sounds like it should be here any day - then the fun begins!

My younger brother lives just outside of Boulder in the mountains near Jamestown, CO - I am out there about every other month. Once the -8 is done it will make the trip much faster! What a great place to live and fly - if I could find a job there I'd move in a heartbeat.

Let us know when your kit arrives!

Sure is!
Name is Jake, he is just over 1 year old. Loves to fly (especially taxiing, as he can hang his head out the window!)
Not sure how he feels about the project, he is used to the noise of the tools but gets bored by the whole operation, I think.

I have noticed several builders own a dog. I am tempted to get a lab after seeing Brad Vier's (RV-8 Builder) dog in action. Go here http://bradskitplane.dyndns.org:8080/ and click on the link next to the picture of his horizontal stabilizer.

I saw that - one of the coolest dog tricks I've seen.
Need to teach Jake the same trick - I'd have to get a dedicated beer fridge, though, or he's help himself whenever I'm not looking.

I guess the appropriate trick here would be to teach him how to get you tools.

He's spent a lot of energy finding/buying it, as well as trying to sell the RT (BMW R1100 RT available folks!), and hasn't done much plane stuff in the last couple of weeks.

He swears he'll work on the plane today. :lmao:

He could REALLY get some work done then!

VS Done!!

Post by Spike »

Woohooo, the VS is done. Well, for all intents and purposes anyway. Its still winter so I cant prime and final assemble. But all of the parts are ready!! On to the rudder :puke:

We should start a pool about the trailing edge. Odds that I get it straight anyone?
