Aerosport IO-375?

Post by chappyd »

I was just looking at Aerosports website........... They are listing a 375 CI engine now, made with components from ECI. Any other news on this??

I'm pretty much set on Mattituck or Aerosport at this point. Aerosport's warranty is pretty impressive. I'm going to OSH for the first time this year, and I'll make my choice after talking to vendors in person.

375 ....... has a nice ring to it, lol.

Before I decided on the 320, I had Sue give me quotes on this engine a couple of times. It's the same concept as stroking the 320 to 340, but with a 360. I think it's sweet!

I think 195 if I remember right...maybe 190. I have the quote at work. I'll check in the morning if someone doesn't come up with it by then...

Couldn't find the quote I had on this engine. I did find this page on the 'net claiming 200hp, but I'm almost certain the quote said 195hp.

Don't know much about that engine but I do know about Aerosport's customer support. Bart has been GREAT to deal with. I had a problem with the alternator at one point and emailed Bart AFTER the warranty had expired asking him what I could do about it. I don't remember what the problem was but I do know that he send me a new alternator free of charge and told me to send the old one back when I got around to it. He also sent me some free fittings for my fuel line since we didn't know which one specifically would work. He told me to just pass the un-needed fittings on to someone who could use them. Lastly, I munged up the gasket on my carburetor. I emailed Bart to ask him wich part number I should order to replace it. Three days later I received 2 gaskets in the mail with a note that said "Here you go."

Bear in mind this was all AFTER the warranty period had expired. I don't know if his policies are the same now as a couple of years ago. Just thought I'd pass along my experiences with Aerosport Power.

Hmmm,

cool!

A para engine upwards of 180 is good!

I am interested in seeing if it takes off!
