My fuse is finally in the US!!!

Post by lancef53 »

I called Vans today to check on my QB fuse today and they confirmed that it had arrived, and the containers were being unloaded and inspected this week.

I can't wait to get my hands on it!!!!

I ordered in on November 9th, with a 4-5 month lead time. My confirmation letter indicated a Feb-March delivery. I am glad I ordered it when I did, I almost waited a couple months so it would show up closer to fall, when I would have more time to spend on it. Thank goodness I didn't wait any longer--8 months is long enough to wait!!!

That's quite the wait, I'd be going nuts if I was finished with all the parts I had and was waiting for more.

I got the call on Friday, they charged my card for the balance, and it should be ready to pickup the end of this week or the beginning of next. The timing is going to work out ok, My finish kit is ready to go also, so the trucker is picking that up also. It should be in my grubby hands in a couple of weeks!!

Time to get back to work!!!

Lance,

I got my fuselage out of the paint shop last Monday 6/16/08 and have it and the wings at the airport (8y6) I am getting started on the assembly. Our EAA Chapter has a hangar there where I am assembling it.
