Nine months later ....

Post by Spike »

Its finally finished. Today I passed my Instrument Check ride. What a great experience getting this rating has been, I highly recommend it to everyone that thinks they want to give it a go. I have been told that its the hardest one to get and only having gone through the PPL I can't really say either way. Though it was harder than the PPL and it is much more cerebral.

I am going to go take a nap now .....

Thanx buddy. I want to try for this weekend if it is ok with you. I was hoping to get out there yesterday but didn't quite have my FAA forms ready to go so I thought it best I stay home and work on that.

As for building, while I slowed drastically while working on the rating, I did not stop. I expect my ailerons to be done very shortly. :D

Transition complete

Post by aparchment »

Welcome to the dark side Spike!
Soon you will find yourself wishing for crappy weather, gray skies and precipitation.
You will find yourself a lone airport denizen on moonless nights and overcast days.
You will covet new avionics and look with disdain at VFR instrument panels. You will find yourself reading Richard Collins flying columns with appreciation, while still disliking the author.
You will have become the Gollum of the aviation world -- one who take pleasure in that which others fear and avoid.

Enjoy!

Antony
