Guys and Gals,
We took delivery of our QB Wings and Fuselage yesterday from Van's. My partner had not yet flown in an RV, so He got a ride that knocked his socks off. I think he was a bit surprised at how fast the darn things go. He seemed a bit shell-shocked when he climbed out of the cockpit.

While he was out playing in the sky, I got going with the paperwork and loading arrangements and with the forklift they piled this huge crate on the flatdeck trailer and then snugged the wing box right next to it. We strapped it all down and screwed 2X4's alongside the crates to preclude any walking of the boxes around on the dance floor of the trailer and away we went.

Even Customs into Canda were nice and we zipped through that in 15 minutes. So the wings are partly uncrated and look really nice. The exterior is sprayed with WD-40 out of the Phillipines and the interior surfaces are primed with Sherwin Williams semi-transparent primer.

My partner carried on with the fuselage up to Kamloops where we are moving in a month or so, while I am keeping the wings here in White Rock to get some work done on them in the next little while.

So, that's the update from the RV-8 of Pete and Gordy. I keep going downstairs to look at the wings, peeking out of the crate!
Cheers, Pete

Movin' right along........your really making me feel pressured to start working on my fuselage. I didn't think any of you guys would pass me up before I got a chance to start working on the 4, but I don't know now. That's pretty aggresive, QB wings and fuse! Here's what I get to look at downstairs....so you can visualize what they look like completed. 8)

Good show.

Yes, I do know Colin. We used to fly together on the C-130, moving oil rigs around the Arctic. I haven't talked to him for a little while and I have a call on his answering machine. His "8" must be getting close!
