Things I love about Rivetbangers...
What makes this forum a notch or two or ten better than the rest?
The obvious one...the people. John and Patti, take a bow.
Other than that...I'll start it off with
The Builder Resources section. Organized, and often used. FANTASTIC place to find pretty much ANYTHING needed for RV's and flying in general.
I'm sure we'll all have the same lists, but jot down one thing you like about RB...funny or not.

And you get replies to your questions posted on other forums.....
I would wait till the last second or after flying to get the full interior installed. Put in what is needed for you to be comfy during the first flights but leave the rest out.
You will be in and out of there, upside down and sideways and in all kinds of weird positions a million more times before first flight...(I know from experience....)
If you have all that stuff in there, it will get in the way and get dirty. Not to mention your DAR will want to see behind all those panels so they will have to be out for the inspection anyway.

I'm just here for the food and non-fruity beer.
Seriously, as CJ implied, this is a forum where I have never witnessed any chest-thumping or pontificating. Just a great group helping each other out and having some fun in the process.

12 step program
My name is Brian and I'm a RivetBanger.
I like RB since no one seems to be judging me or my decisions. I'm not afraid to post here.
Way to go RB!

Great thread. Where to start...
The members are:
Generous-with their knowledge
Humble-no attitude
Fast-with responses to questions
Down to earth.
The site is:
Simple to use,
well organized,
Uncluttered,
And the best name in the business...RivetBangers...descriptive with clever humor.
I am here every day, as I am sure a lot of folks are.
Then there is the "Otter."
Finally...Spike and Patti are great.

Thanx for the kind words all. Really you guys are complimenting yourselves more than anything. Its the people that make the place.
It is good to hear that the resources section gets used. I had been wondering about that the other day.

We all learn from fellow RBers expertise. We try to help each other out when ever possible. The knowledge and experience on Rivet Bangers is awesome.

I like this thread..
Hey guys, I have been building my -7 for almost a year now and haven't been too active on the forums. A few questions shot out on other sites, but this is my first post on Rivet Bangers. I like this string and what it stands for and look forward to being more active on Rivet Bangers.
I have been following Chad's site for a while now and other sites that are all great. My wings are about 90% structurally complete with some wiring thrown in, and I am closing in on the flaps now. The SB Fuselage gets here in May, so looking forward to a summer of firewall, bulkheads and longerons..
Anyway, feel free to check out my site below and I will feel free to come online and ask my dumb questions and contribute my experiences as much as possible. - Thx

Thanks guys..
Looking forward to the next few years of love (and brutal pain) in building this thing. I sware that even though it is a great kit, the slow build would qualify for any 99% rule if they had one.
Anyway, I will post when I can and definitely when I have any questions.. Looking forward to digging into that fuselage box when it arrives.
Oh, and I do plan on selling the Mooney when the RV comes around. Excited about forgoing the potential 5-6K annual.
Thx
