Got my transition training done today!!!

Post by lancef53 »

Got my required transition training today, and logged my first 2.1 RV hours :)

My Dad and I flew with Jim Delveau in his RV6, and had a blast. They are a sweet airplane to fly!!

Now for my inspection and first flight. Depending on the DAR schedule, the inspection will happen next week, with the flight a week or so later(depending on the condition of our runway)

Keep building!!!

Cool..Great job!

My insurance required 10 hrs. dual and it had to be in a similar M&M...Like a 6 or 7 only counted for a 6 or 7 and not a 9 ect.... the tandems only counted for themselves.

You must be an accomplished/experienced TW pilot to only need 2.1hrs...RV's are different birds, not hard, just different than most production models.

Best of luck in the near future!!!!

nice job. What was your TW and TT prior to the training?

I'm getting excited for my Transistion training with Mike Seager in May. I have 250hrs TT and 50 TW. The Insurance says 10hrs dual, so the Wife and I will make a week of it and stay on the Oregon Coast.

Hey Brian,

When you and your wife come to Oregon, why not come by my place for a visit? Jamie and I would love to have you for an overnight stay, hang out in the shop, see my project, and have some fun. Have you been to Vans? The factory is only 25 min. from here, and we could go there, too. The Oregon coast is great, but this would be fun, too.

No, I am not a high time pilot, but that is all they wanted. I have about 250 TW and 425 TT. Whe we bought our C-180 a couple years ago, they only wanted one hour of dual.

The company originally wanted 2 hours in a RV 8 with either a RV8 owner or a CFI. We were able to convince them to do time in a 6 or seven, because of the dual controls and the ability to find one to rent for instruction. I still plan on going up with a friend that has an 8 to do some flying before I fly my 8.

If my 8 is like the 6, they are a blast to fly, and very easy to handle. The biggest problem I had was that I was trying to flare at C-180 height, which turns out to be about 2 feet higher than RV6 height :bang: The RV seems like it will be easier to handle than the 180, mainly because of the control response.

Lance, I am glad you got the dual time in a 6! They are great airplanes and I am not sorry that I have a 6A. Basiclly all of your time is in TW so that should get them to ease up on the TW time requirements.

Good luck with DAR and keep posting. I am still working on my fiber glass work for the wheel pants and wing tip lights. The frost went out at the airport last Friday night. Saturday morning it was all dry where you almost needed four wheel drive to get around Friday afternoon. The airport is all sand so when the frost goes everything dries right now! :)

Tell me, we need the integration of the necessary solutions based on artificial intelligence for our comprehensive school. Where now you can order such services to work experienced specialists and how much such development will cost for a budget organization.

What a coincidence, because I am precisely looking for a professional learning management service and at the same time an LMS and SIS integration service. As I have never hired a professional or company dedicated to this, I prefer to ask for help from you, who already know a lot and can directly recommend a reliable company so that I do not end up hiring a poor quality service. So, please, can someone here help me? Thank you.

I just investigated the company "aristeksystems" that was recommended to you in the comments and honestly the opinions from its clients are excellent, they only speak wonders about this company. I rarely come across companies that have so many positive comments from their clients. Generally there is usually a certain balance, but with this company it happened differently. They are all positive, so it is a good indicator that the company is totally trustworthy and they know what they are doing.
