Oshkosh bound?

Post by Thermos »

So who's going?

This is the "go big" year for me...I'll be there Sunday thru Saturday, and Ellen will be there for a couple of days as well.

What say you?

With OSH being 80nm from my home drome, it would be criminal for me not to show up!

BTW...... CJ has set the bar too high. No prime rib for me at the Otter. I know when I am in the presence of greatness.....

I'll try the ribs this year.

I haven't missed for about 15 years. Like Painless, I have no excuses, being "down the road."

I am Otter Bound if the group is still up for it. I also have my suburban at Camp Scholler so I can offer a lift to the Otter if anyone is in need of a ride.

(Oh, by the way Painless, I can forgive your stepping away from the prime rib this year given the stelar performmnce your son gave last year. You have succeessfully passed the torch.) :)

I am going to try to get there, depends on harvest timing. My dad has been flying since 1966 and never been there, and is going this year in his motorhome. He is bringing a buddy with him who owns a cirrus, and was a navy pilot. He has never been there either. Neither of them have any desire to fly there, but want to go in the motorhome. I can't understand retired people :bang: , it's like they have nothing but time on their hands :)

I hope to fly my 8 there, if i can get 40 hours on it by then.

Not sure yet but not looking great for the typical trip. If I make it it will probably only be for a day or two to shop/finalize equipment. Thinking about taking that week off of work and staying home working on the plane otherwise.

I also saw that Bob Collins posted on The Other Site about his '10 "Piece of Grass", it'll be on Wednesday the 28th. I had a good time at that last year...

I was still in Phase I last year but N14SE has around 90 hours on her now so she will be Oshkosh bound this year. Flying with my hangar mate in his RV-7 as a flight of two from Evansville, IN to the big show.
