Fuel level on Grand Rapids EIS
I'm trying to figure out the wiring (to a regular float type sender) from the Grand Rapids EIS out to each tank. The instructions are not helpful as near as I can tell because this is, apparently, an AUX function -- whatever exactly that is . I did see a reference somewhere that it has to be wired "with a resistor." OK, I know what a resistor is and I'm sure I can rustle one up, but how EXACTLY is it wired with a resistor?
Hey Bob,
The EIS has 6 aux inputs labeled AUX1 - AUX6. Pick two of them for measuring your fuel level.
Download the instruction manual for how to wire them to Van's senders from the Yahoo! GRT Group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/GRT_EFIS/files/

Grand Rapids Fuel Information
Bob I have it installed in my RV-6A and it works great. I used the standard Van's floats in each wing. I can scan and e-mail my diagram and drawings that we used. Telephone me at 320-253-8620 if you are interested. I really like the Grand Rapids System! I am sure there are other good ones but I had my Grand Rapids before I got my Dynon 10A.
