Here are some shots from the Otter. I hope that Brad and Eric will add some in due time

Here are "The Dons" Don Pansier and Don Sinclair listening to Chad "The Weathervane" Jensen.

Brad Oliver and Eric Severson compare notes on photography. Both are very talented.

Quote of the night: Chad was talking about restoring a Saab car, and Don Pansier asked him if he was going to put a Subaru engine in it. Classic!

right now, I will even tAke one of his alcohol laden fruity beverages that he would make.

Int the three months and few odd days since arriving here in Kuwait, it has been pretty much alcohol free except for the 16 ounce and 12 ounce cans of beer I was given for my birthday last week.

I can go full bore for a weekend in about three weeks wig a planned weekend in Dubai where beer and booze is semi-legal for westerners.

Not enough time fo get any diving in, so I will get hammered instead!

Not really, at least not yet. Got some refresher dive training, and then four dives in the Persian gulf. Gonna do a couple more dives this weekend. I like to have a couple beers on occasion, but three months is a little too much for me. The 28 ounces total beer for my birthday was just enough to pi$$ me off because I dont have any more.

Because the rule I am subject to for international travel, my first trip will be to Dubai for a weekend.

Also working on a 4 day weekend trip to Muscat, Oman around the 9th of September as well. Gonna do some diving and sightseeing there.

Work is pretty slow, we basically support the aircraft line and only have work to do when they mess something up or is beyond their level of technical expertise.

Finishing up an interesting job where I had to transfer holes from a titanium door to a new skin and also replace the titanium hinge fitting as well. Pretty different from what I have done in the past, but nothing much different from standard techniques.

Kind of boring here, I dont even pay attention to the herds of camels on the side of the road on the way to anymore. It will get better as soon as I get my Kuwaiti drivers license and can get a car and travel around some without having to deal with the 'Ali-Baba' taxi drivers.

Sorry it took so long to post these. My employer had this crazy idea I had to go back to WORK!

Pre meal briefing.

Brad Oliver leading us in a toast to our absent leaders and webmasters "Satti and Pike."

In honor of his first flight, Chad is awarded the "Order of the Fruity Beer," by Painless, who, incidentally, denied having the courage to actually purchase said beer, instead paying an innocent passerby to go in and make the purchase on his behalf while he made sure no one was in the area to recognize him or discover his involvement. (Note unassuming brown paper bag that was used to bring the offending ale into the hallowed walls of the Otter.)

Image
Chad, While professing to be unaffected by the fruity beer comments, still nonchalantly covers all labels and insignia on the packaging that reveals the un-manly nature of the elixir.

As you can see, though no prime rib was consumed, the evening was a resounding success. Thanks to Painless for making the arrangements. With a full year to clear our systems...we should be ready to polish off many pounds of prime rib at the next annual gathering.
