Weight and balance numbers
I've been doing a little searching for W & B numbers but things get a little scattered. so was wondering has an ideas how much my my -7 should weigh? My goal 4 yrs ago was 1075# but now think it will be heavier than that.
Painted RV-7 w/ pants and fairings, IO-360, WW200RV prop w/2.25 spacer, James long cowl, plenum, seats and front carpet, light duty panel. ELT and Strobe pak behind Pax seat. oversize main tires(+5#)
What numbers should I expect to see?

Just as a data point, mine came in at 1074 lbs, without leg fairings, gear fairings or paint. I have the 200RV prop in my configuration.

It's a weird optical illusion when the TD's are being weighed...the canopy deck is level, but the airplane looks nose low.Spike wrote:I haven't a clue but that looks tail high to me.
I'm gonna go 1119, just inside my original range that I guessed.

Ok, ok, I'll tell you. And the winner is.......none of us, but I am the winner because it came in better than I thought it was going to. (the paint had me scared) Chad originally picked 1100, i think, but he feared the heavy looking paint also.

Total 1095# @ 80.2"c.g.

As for the weight, I am highly impressed. I would have thought well over 1100, but that would be emotional and baseless. Good for you!
