I called my engine builder, he sent over an AD list that originally went with that engine, showing what was addressed or what was N/A. Many items were NA because of the changes I made.Spike wrote:This is really great news!!

According to the EAA, Experimentals DO NOT have to comply with AD's. The reason being is AC 39 and FAR 43 are applicable to only aircraft with a type certificate. Therefore, no legal reason to do them. However, there is a clause in the Op Limits which a builder states the aircraft is in a safe and airworthy condition. Not addressing AD's may be interpreted as a safety issue rendering the aircraft unairworthy. you don have to comply but you should address them.
So I sent the AD list to FSDO and he accepted it. He also backed down from the other stuff he wanted me to do.
Still not counting my chickens until they hatch a Cert of AW.
