As I was descending in to the pattern at Pekin, IL this morning, the Hobbs ticked over to finish Phase I!! Now if only my wife were in town to get her ride...everyone else is waiting for her now!
Came back to Bloomington with 40.5 on the Hobbs, and I de-cowled to inspect everything to make sure there's nothing unusual lurking prior to start giving rides. All looks great, so as soon as she is home, and we get a good evening this week, WE will go flying!!

Chad,
How many of those hours were taxi tests, engine tests, etc..??? I think you owe the FAA a little more time
Congrats dude. Great milestone. Now which one of us flies to congratulate the other one?

Some of ya saw this on FB already, but Brit did get back in town early enough this afternoon, so we went for a flight! What a great thing to celebrate flying off the 40 hours with the love of my life!
Here's a short video...

Guys, Fly up here to KPYM. We could then fly farther north to my place in the Maine woods at 8B0. Plenty of room at both places for all!
Come on up!

Really BIG congrats Chad! I'm happy to hear and see the right person got the first ride, sure hope she wants to go again. The pride you must have felt to pass that milestone and give her the ride in what you have put so much work into, had to be something you will not forget. Giving your Dad a ride will be great too!

I'm very, VERY happy for you too, Chad! That's the big dream we all have our eyes on. You'll have to plan on coming over here to the west coast sometime, too. Van's Homecoming is a great event!
