Here is a prerace article from the Helena newspaper. i was a nice little writeup in prep for the big sky air race.

Then we pulled off a great event this weekend.

I was so busy I only snap a couple pics on my cell phone. there were 7 rv's in the blue class. I finished 3rd behind an RV-8(220mph)(216mph) and a hotrod RV-4. but the good news is I improved to 211.74mph which is my best race speed and almost 8 mph better than the wenatchee race. Learning more about myself and Aurora. Next stop OSHKOSH!
Here's a couple Super 6's gassing up for the race.

One of my favorite pics, it's on the side of a Harmon Rocket. He is one of the reasons i have a yellow plane.

With the blurry paint to the left, it looks like that thing is rocketing thru the air!
Very cool nose art!

The leading edges start off white, then fade into flames....like on re-entry. I asked Ken where "Bee" came from. His response was "I was already to build a RV-8." Then I saw a Harmon Rocket and it just had to "Be a Rocket" They painted that plane twice before he liked it.
