Not really, but does require some due diligence. A friend recently purchased a project that was 99.9% complete for $125k. Granted the interior was rather spartan, the panel had Skyviews with Apollo gps/com, and the engine was 300smoh. He probably could have got his pink slip, but he decided he wanted to upgrade a few items. With the economy being what it is, there are deals out there.

I do agree that there are deals to had, but even what you just described involves work to either finish, inspect / certify, or outright build. Thats a no go for me right now.

Have you guys seen the new Synergy project, currently in development? I just learned about this recently, and I've been following it with some real interest. This project is amazing! I even became a small-donation backer after reading about the possibilities. It will seat 5 people.
