Go ahead and mess it up. Mine is trash by now! After I called it "DONE" I started intentionally making mistakes on it. I over-smashed the rivets just to drill them out and enlarge the holes to install -4's. I have also experimented with paint on it and put extra rivets on it just for the hell of it!

John,
I was countersinking some .032 and let the cage slide and as you guessed it the darn thing pretended it was a router. Ok, the 10' was a bit of an exaderation, but oh well.
You can see what Im talking about on my Biulder's site if your interested.

My two cents worth. After counter sinking the emp kit, I never counter sunk again!! I always dimpled and then I utilized the counter sink to just lightly clean up the dimple. The surface came out much better. I really don't think it takes much longer and you remove the chance of oblonging the hole.
I was under the impression that you had to in some parts of the kit. Dont you countershink to install nutplates in the wing ? Maybe for the fuel tanks ?

Yes, there are a few places you have to counter sink, but I always tried to find a way to dimple first. The rivet heads come out much more flush. I don't think I had to shave hardly any rivets which were dimpled. I have to admit, I have seen may other RV's who counter sunk and look fantastic. You need to do what feel right for you, but if you having trouble with the counter sink, try dimpling.
