OSH 2014
OSH 2014
It's the week before OSH and the forum is pretty quiet. I guess everyone is out washing and waxing their aircraft.
just to start some activity........
I'll be arriving Saturday morning and departing Thursday morning. I'll be camping in HBC.
We are still debating how many fingers to give Jeff and his team when we arrive. At the moment we are leaning to as far east as we can get. I don't want to be on the west side towards the road and I'm also not fond of portajohn doors slamming through out the night.
Since this is my first time in HBC, I'm curious as to what other's think about are the prime spots to be in HBC. Comments?
Looking forward to meeting as many as you as I can next week. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to make it to the Black Otter.

Change in plans for me in that I will be parked in HBP instead of HBC.
The wife decided to come and she would rather stay with our friend in the loft at Sleepy Hollow vs camping in a tent.
Will be there hopefully Saturday thru Wednesday morning.

We marked our spot in Scholler this week at 56th and Lindbergh, same as last year, but other corner. We move in on Friday this week, staying until the day after show is over.
I'll be in Hangar D during the day, unless I'm out seeing another Vendor or VP dealer.
Looking forward to another great convention!

Peter Barrett and I will be in HBC. Plan to arrive on Wednesday early afternoon and depart either Friday evening or Saturday AM.
I have been able to secure a ride for us to the Black Otter for Wednesday with some local pilot friends. Anyone else planning on the Otter????

What dedication! Live in OSH and still spend the week camping in Scholler.cjensen wrote:We marked our spot in Scholler this week at 56th and Lindbergh, same as last year, but other corner. We move in on Friday this week, staying until the day after show is over.

Since you are now a vendor, you ought to swing by the RV-10 dinner on Sunday. It's down a few streets in between 53rd/54th. I know that Marc has attended in years past.

Campsite all set up. I'm basically in the South Africans' backyard. Party on!

Here are some highlights of this years Oshkosh
I ran into Chad at his Vertical Power Booth. He felt so bad for me that I forgot a hat to bring to Oshkosh, he gave me a rare Vertical Power cap.

SteveWiz and his two sons showed up all of us seasoned veterans of the Black Otter by ordering up the King Cut prime rib.

Painless took an interesting mode of transportation of The Black Otter

Peter Barrett and I had special badges to AirVenrtures which allowed us to get golf carts. Oh, and Chad - I was able to find the hat I brought with me

Homebuilt Camping is dangerously close to the SOS Brothers bar. The bartenders there have an amazing way of persuading customers to drink overpriced cheap beer out of a funnel.
We took the long way home and decided to unwind from Oshkosh in the southern lakes of WI.

What would a trip be without me bringing back some of the local brew?

Getting home was interesting with all of the weather throughout PA, but we made it back without too much hassle.
