If the current plan is Wednesday night, I think Mrs. Thermos and I will be up for a steak. We'll be camping in Scholler and since we're driving, we can take three folks from OSH to Appleton.

Is the steak place near any of the hotel areas served by the EAA shuttle buses?

I am definately a TENTATIVE for dinner if it's gonna be Wednesday night. I'm not sure I can get out of here early enough to set up camp, and get to dinner.

Right now we're planning on a Thursday morning arrival, but if I can convince my dad to go Wed., we'll be there.

So, two tentative for me.

My wife Shannon will be attending with me. I will have a car to drive, but it only has two seats, and Shannon gets first dibs on the passenger seat!

Does anyone have FRS band radios? Wicked Stick is bringing his and we will be using them. I know that the place will be humming with them, being that we are a collection of geeks.

Maybe we could use one channel for rivetbangers?

Do we have room for a couple more? A couple of my RV builder/flyer buds are interested in coming along too. If it's too much just let me know. I think we can arrange for our own transporation.

Sure. The more the merrier!!! Just let me know how many so that I can bump up the reservation count if needed.

I still have not had success in getting transportation back for the group (assuming we use a normal shuttle to get up there). I hope to get this squared away tomorrow. if not Im not sure what we will do.

Cool! Figure on about 6 more people then. Two are building an RV-7a, one is dreaming, two of us have an RV-4 and RV-8 respectively, and the 8 driver is also just starting on an RV-10.

Make sure you guys who are flying in practice your approaches. Poeboy and I went out and did some non standard landings last night just to brush up. Be prepared for spot landings 4000 feet down the runway. I dont want anyone augering in because they stalled while dragging out the approach!! The other one to really practice is the approach for runway 18R/L where they dont want you to descend until you cross runway 9/27. Practice your steep approaches to a landing. Besides, its fun
