Anyone interested in the B-25C bomber recovery going on here in Columbia SC check out this link. I work less than two miles from the site and drive by it to and from work. http://www.wistv.com/Global/category.asp?C=70624

dirtman,

i'm gonna be in columbia monday, october 3rd. you gonna be around the airport?

i'll be there delivering a Cessna 340 for a pre-buy. not sure when my flight out (airline) is yet, but it's always nice to put faces to the names here!

cool story! the guy buying my 340 was telling me about it.

:)

I'll be at work till 5:30 :bang: but would be glad to come by afterwards. Take me about 25 min to get there. let me know your schedule when you get it. May be able to burn a little vacation time to see you.

Let me know if you will be in town for a little while. You will be driving within 15 minutes of where I work. I can get off for as long as I want, as long as there is no emergency work to be done. Could take a late or early lunch as well. What do you like to eat, there's a ton of places to choose from. Got'a eat somewhere. Let me know if you have time, if not we'll meet some other time.

unfortunately, it looks like i'm only gonna have about 45 minutes at the airport with the buyers. i'm gonna have to be on the road to charlotte by 1130. i have to go over contracts, and the prebuy inspection on the sale, and that's gonna eat up the 45 minutes easily.

the other flight i was booked on, had me leaving right out of columbia at 1430, and i would've had plenty of time to have lunch with ya, but my office changed plans on me. cheaper flight i guess. i was really looking forward to that flight out of columbia, as it would've taken me to D.C., then on to chicago on a 777. never riden on one before...woulda been cool. now i'm stuck on the usual air tran flight that i've done a thousand times before.

oh well...looks like it's gonna have to be later. :(
