What is the mission of your RV?

I would second the flyin idea. Sounds like it would be fun. Maybe we could make it a moving event and hold it at different locations each year so we could see the areas of the country where people are from.

My 7 will be so that I can attend to my own regional aviation needs and enjoy it the whole time. Not a big fan of commercial air travel, no offense to anyone here who works for the airlines. I want light IFR, day/night VFR cross country with the speed to get me from Santa Monica to San Francisco or Las Vegas in far less time than it takes to drive. And when I find an instructor brave enough, I want to get my IFR ticket in the 7 as well. this is one of the few reasons I'm installing dual brakes and a center-mounted throttle quadrant. But it's mostly about the fun factor. Formation in Cessnas on the east side of Catalina is fun, but I'll bet it's a lot more fun with RV's.

John,
If you leave out the sextant, flat screen TV, and the satalight dish it may not be so heavy.

My 7 will be primarily for me, sport touring and mild aerobatics. There will be the annual pilgrimage to AirVenture, as well as the occasional trip back to SF bay area for business/visits. Generally, I'll be solo 75% of the time, with my wife coming with on occasion.

I may end up building a BearHawk for the back country landings, depending on how much slack the RV operating budget has.

John, just get a DVD . . . it's lighter and you can play Girls Gone Wild on those long cross countries.
