Here's Spike painting our sitting room. You can see the old light fixture in this picture.

This is our new sitting room. It took several coats of white paint, kilz and then a final coat of blue. Spike installed a ceiling fan and wireless remote and tacked down the satellite cable nice and neat. We finished the room off with new furniture and sheers (not shown).

We decided to move our office upstairs into the one remaining room. Before we could do anything, we had to pull down a really awful wallpaper border, and found this underneath:

As it turns out, That Crazy B*tch Juliette (who we bought the house from) put a wallpaper border of a beautiful hand stenciled border. The border was beautiful and it killed us to have to paint over it, but we had already started repairing drywall holes so it had to be painted.
Here's the room as it sits now, with fresh paint and new window coverings. We'll be buying some new furniture (and maybe a high speed connection) sometime in the next couple of weeks.

So, that's what Spike's been working on! (Those pictures are hosted on my Flickr site.) Anyone who wants the complete story on Spike's travails in finishing these rooms can read about it in the "home improvement" section of my blog.
